About me

I’m passionate about computer science, especially conceptualizing and programming complex algorithms. Notably, I am highly versed in Python programming, which is why I created and taught a practicum on advanced Python programming at TUM. And I have worked on various software projects, also developing skills in JavaScript and Go, among others (see ↳Projects).

I studied (B. Sc., M. Sc.) and did my doctorate (Dr. rer. nat.) in Informatics at TUM.

Experience

Since August 2024, I work as a software consultant at TNG Technology Consulting GmbH.

From 2018–2024, I was at the Chair of Software and Systems Engineering at TUM as a research associate. During that time, from 2018–2022, I was part of the BMBF-funded research project inverse transparency in collaboration with Software AG (the third largest software company in Germany), the LMU (DMM), and the ISF Munich.

Before my time at the chair, I also gained practical experience as a working student or intern at different companies, among them CQSE GmbH and itestra GmbH, and in a practical university project in collaboration with BMW AG.

During my studies, I spent half a year at the lab of Prof. Tokuyama at Tohoku University in Sendai, Japan, as a Special Research Student. My time in Japan was funded through a scholarship of the DAAD.

Research

My research has been published in various scientific journals and conference proceedings with peer review. Notably, in the journals Proceedings of the ACM on Human-Computer Interaction and Distributed Ledger Technologies: Research and Practice.

I’m convinced of the value of developing an interdisciplinary and cross-domain perspective. My papers contribute both technical solutions (see, e.g., [ZLP23] or [Zie23]) as well as conceptual and empirical research (see, e.g., [ZP23] or [ZGP22]).

A full list of my publications can be found on the page ↳Publications.

Teaching and theses

During my time at the Chair for Software and Systems Engineering, I was very active in teaching. I have experience in thesis supervision, conceptualizing and organizing small classes on my own, as well as assisting on large classes and exams.

Regarding theses, I have supervised a total of 24 master’s, bachelor’s, and research theses, mostly on my own. Beyond that, I have supervised 29 seminar papers in the context of various research seminars.

I have created and organized three courses (seminars and practicums) on my own. I was responsible for our industry practicum over a span of multiple years. Further, I have assisted in seven lectures, e.g. in the organization or by creating course materials.
